Amruta (42) and Ajay (45), a regular married couple based out of Nashik stay with their daughter, Aabha (11). It’s been 3 months of lockdown already. Ajay is working from home, Aabha has online classes. Due to this new normal whatever little time Amruta used to get for herself is now a far-fetched dream. One morning Amruta gets a call from her best friend Siddhi. Siddhi tells her about an erotica book she read and how it is so much better than watching porn because majority of the porn films online do not have a happy ending for the woman. Every video ends as the man is finished. Whereas, this erotica book which she discovered has multiple happy endings for both the partners in their story. Amruta gets thinking as she realizes that it could be true. But she expresses her concern over reading the book as she gets no time from the unending housework. Siddhi Insists her to try it once as if she doesn’t find time for herself, she will be left high and dry. Through the day, Amruta tries a several times to read the book but every time she is interrupted halfway. But whatever little she could read, kept running in her mind. She is enjoying the word play. And as the day gets over and Amruta hasn’t even managed to read one full story properly, she waits for Ajay to doze off. As Ajay dozed off, Amruta quietly steps out and heads to the terrace. The night is quiet and peaceful. Amruta lights a cigarette as she thinks about the captivating lines from the book. She stubs the cigarette and uses a ladder to climb onto the water tank. She looks around. There is nobody. She lies down and gazed the sky in peace as she is gotten this me time after a while. Amruta pulls her phone out as she is assured there is nobody around. She reads the story in peace. There is nobody to disturb her at this hour. And as the story advances Amruta pleasingly touches herself.
